Gorgeous Hat

With the bright sunshine of Spring coming, it's important to protect yourself from its damaging rays. A daily lotion should be applied with an SPF no lower than 15. They have some great face lotions available that aren't greasy, scented and have the possibility to clog your pores. One of my favorites is Neutrogena, but there are tons out there worth checking out!
Another great way to protect yourself from the damaging sun is by wearing a hat. This doesn't have to be some ugly, frumpy thing that you find. This is a great opportunity to have a great collection of cute, chic hats. I love this particular one from Giorgio Armani.
Remember, it's so important to take care of your skin! It's not easy to get back in good shape once it's ruined. It can be life threatening.

Things to Keep From Last Season

The change of season means the change of fashion. I'm sure you're sick of hearing this by now, but I just love that Spring is coming! I've been waiting forever it feels like.
Just because there is going to be some "in with the new" going on, doesn't necessarily mean that it has to be "out with the old". There are some things trended on the runways of Fall 2011 that still look great and will be in fashion for Spring of 2012.
One of these things are collars. This is a classic 60's look. Another great fashion piece that will look great are wide legged pants. Just replace the boots of winter with the heels of summer. High slits are also still in. You can wear a light cotton tank with a high slit skirt to bring this look to Spring.

Blazer

If any of you know me at all--you know that I love blazers! They are the perfect must-have piece of clothing that everybody needs in their closet.
With Spring just around the corner, it's an in between season where it's too nice for Winter clothes and too chilly for Summer clothes. Seems like a problem, right? Not for us!
This newest blazer I recently found will just have to find a space in my full closet, because it will find its way in there one way or another! This coral-colored blazer is just adorable. It's screams SPRING and will look great with everything. The color is spunky and fun. I can't wait to layer it over some of my fun summer tanks. Paired with some cute shorts, or skinny capris and heels, this outfit will have heads turning!

Massages in Orange County

I just got the best massage in Orange County! It's so rejuvenating, refreshing, and calming. It's great to treat yourself every once in awhile, like I did today. You can tell when somebody takes care of their body and allows themselves some relaxation--they glow from the inside out and it shows! It's always in style to take care of your body.
When I arrived at Cloud Mover, my experience was great from the start. They have a full team of licensed massage therapists ready to pamper you. I got to choose from a Swedish/Relaxation massage, a deep tissue/therapeutic massage, hot stone massage, a Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, or any of their specialized massage techniques such as reflexology, pre & post natal, Shiatsu, sports massage, and cellulite or lipposage. With a menu like that it was hard to choose just one! I will be going back.

Titanium Jewelry for Her

When I hear titanium, I think "strong", "durable", and "sturdy". I also think of how these words are all generally aimed at men. How is that fair? I found some great titanium jewelry for women! The collection is stunning. It's lightweight and hypoallergenic, so my sensitive skin won't get irritated.
They carry everything that I could possibly be looking for! I found diamond bands, engagement rings, a unique and delicate hearts collection, black diamond jewelry, a safari collection (with fun animal prints!), earrings, bracelets, promise rings, colored stones and so much more! Anything that you are looking for can be found here to match your style.

Blueprints Organizer

I wanted to invest in a tool that I could use all the time for multiple things. Well I'm happy to say I found it. This blueprint storage is amazing. I love how versatile this contraption is! I use it to hold on to my sketches and art supplies, It also acts as a newspaper holder, a magazine holder and if I have any important important papers they get neatly stored in the blueprint storage. The blueprint storage itself neatly sits in a corner at my house and stays out of the way, so I never even have to worry about it. SO AWESOME!

Hairstyle

Spring is just around the corner! I can feel it! I associate the word "spring" with fresh and new. I love trying new fashions, trends and a new haircut. It's so refreshing to start a new season feeling fresh and great.
I love this haircut! It frames the face and makes the neck look longer and leaner. The part adds a unique touch by adding volume and spark. I also like the bangs. The added length of the hair in front looks great as well!
The same hairstyle isn't great for everyone, so I like to search online for hairstyles. I can print off pictures that way and bring them to my hairstylist. This way, there's no confusion!

Plus Size Dresses

I love companies that carry clothing in all sizes, especially dresses! Every body type and shape is beautiful and I love that Pacific Plex accommodates that. They have a fantastic selection of plus size dresses. They carry through size 5x.
This particular dress caught my eye immediately! The colors are great because you can use any color accessories. This is also a great dress because it can be worn to go out or in an office/business setting. A cardigan sweater or wrap to cover the shoulders with tights and pumps make this a great office outfit. A pair of heels, fun and bright accessories and a matching handbag would make this dress great for a night out on the town! So find out what's going on this weekend, get this dress and kick up your heels!

Feather Headbands

I'm loving anything feather right now. It's trendy and hot in the fashion world. Whether it be feather earrings, extensions, headbands, clips-ins, or anything else--I love it and I want it! Right now, I'm wanting to maximize my collection of feather headbands and I found just the place to do it!
This site has the best selection and is approximately one third of the retail price (they run around $5.95 and are retailed at about $14.95). If you team up with your friends and want to get three of the same style, you can get each piece for just $3.95. What a great deal!
Each of the many accessories that you find here comes with a black metal headband that the feather accessory slides onto. Good luck just choosing one or two--there's so many I love that I'm ordering five of them! Also--there's free shipping on any order over $65 so take advantage of that great deal as well.

Beautiful Rings From Orange County

I was just proposed to! I am so excited about ever thing! The whole thing was such a surprise as well as how amazing the ring is! The ring was absolutely beautiful. I had to ask where he got it from. I don't know how I didn't guess that he got my engagement ring from Orange County. They seriously have the best rings there. I can't stop starring at it like ever day!

How to Look Great and Protect Your Feet!

I love these! I have way too many pairs to count. They are great for a few reasons. They protect your toes and back of your heels from wearing painful shoes. Who said beauty is pain? That's not the case anymore! They also help my toenail polish from rubbing off when I wear dress shoes (flats, heels, etc) all day.
These are also incredibly stylish! Lace is a popular material for these. I have them in brown, black, white, cheetah-print, and zebra. I like to wear the zebra ones with black shoes and the cheetah-print ones with brown shoes. It spices them up a bit! There's some plain ones available that don't show when wearing the shoe. When I'm looking for ultra-low no shows, I turn to Payless ShoeSource.

DIY Nails

I love having my nails looking nice as much as possible. It's a great way to accessorize. You can custom your look in so many ways by having your nails done!
I don't have the funds to go to salons and pay the outrageous amount of money that it costs to have somebody else do my nails. I used to go to the salon every two weeks and it added up to about $70 a month (about $840 a year!!)
I found this great idea on Pinterest. All you need is a bottle of nail polish and some loose glitter (I get mine at craft or hobby stores). When the nail polish is still wet, sprinkle as much or as little glitter as you want to add some "bling" to your nails. I like to put it towards the bottom of each nail like the picture shows. There are so many color combos you can try with this great idea! For a night out on the town, I'm going to try black polish with gold glitter.

Bridesmaid Dresses

I'm in a wedding coming up in a few months and these are the dresses for the bridesmaids to wear. Isn't it beautiful? We all looked everywhere for bridesmaid dresses and after searching high and low, decided on this style and color.
I love how flattering it is for everybody's body type. The midsection is designed right to hide tummy bumps and unevenness. I also love the length. It's not too short where it's uncomfortable and not too long. It falls just above my knees, which is perfect! It's satin and therefore so very soft on my skin! I will be able to re-wear this for different occasions which is great.
My next job is to search for some fun shoes to accompany this dress. It's going to be such a fun wedding!

Tattoos

I love tattoos and body art. It's such a beautiful way to express yourself! With something being as permanent as a tattoo is, however, there are sometimes downfalls and mishaps with such a serious thing. I have 3 tattoos and love them all! They all mean so much to me and each one has a personal movie. I am just writing today to share some quick advice on tattoos if you're thinking of getting one:

1. Know what you want before you make an appointment. This avoids having regrets about last minute decisions.
2. Meet the artist before you make the appointment. Make sure you are on the same page about what you want.
3. Speak up once you're at your appointment and they print out a trace design. If it's too big or too small, tell them!
4. Once you get your tattoo, take care of it! Nothing is worse looking than a tattoo that is not cared for. They will give you care instructions after getting your body art.

If you have any body art advice, please share for our readers! Happy Wednesday everyone, only two more days til Friday :)

Lady G's Grammy Outfit

In case you've been living under a rock for the past week, the Grammy Awards were on TV last night! They were great, and as usual my favorite part was seeing all the beautiful and sometimes hideous outfits that the celebs decided to wear.
The worst-dressed stick out like a sore thumb. I'm sure if you ever watch the E! Channel that you will hear Joan Rivers going on for about a week (she drives me NUTS by the way).

Lady Gaga, as always, blew me out of the water. I really shouldn't be surprised since her clothing and personality is way out there. Her outfit this year consisted of black fishnet. Everywhere. I'm not a fan of it, and it was really creepy, especially with it covering her face.

Great Office Look

For great style tips, I look to people who have great style. This often (and I avoid the word always, here) includes celebrities. A great place to look for fashion tips can be found on your local magazine stand in celebrity gossip magazines such as "Star", "Us", "InTouch", "People", etc.
A great person I look to for style advice is Jennifer Aniston. She always seems to be so pulled together and her taste in clothing and style is simple. She's never overdone and always seems to pull of a perfect look without too little or too much. It's a hard thing to accomplish!
Her outfit here is great for an office. The pencil skirt adds length to her legs which are heightened even more by a cute pair of simple pumps. Her tucked in button up shirt adds professionalism and slims her waist. This is a great office look that wouldn't be hard to imitate!

Eyeshadow

I love make-up and everything about it. It's so fun to customize your look by adding a little "spark" via eyeshadow, a fun colored lipstick, etc.
My goal is to start wearing a bigger variety of eyeshadow. Right now, I have gotten into the habit of just wearing shades of creams and browns.
I found this extremely helpful picture shown above for a good illustration of technique for eyeshadow application.
Cover your entire lid with a lighter color. Instead of going to cream like I always do, I am going to start trying colors like light purple, light pink, etc. I've also been picking out MAC cosmetics for some great creative and unique colors. Go for a darker shade on your crease and an even darker shade for the corner. The lighter you go on the inner crease makes your eyes pop even more. Check out what colors look great and compliment your eyes!

Pink Heels

Hello fashionistas! I hope everybody is excited and ready to start their weekend. Mine is filled with work Saturday and Sunday with a test Monday morning. After that, however, I will have a break on Monday evening and Tuesday all day. That can be my weekend instead. I shall celebrate! My friend from college is celebrating her golden birthday Monday evening and I can't wait to get out on the town again.
Every girl, no matter who you are and no matter what your style---needs a pair of pink heels. It's like an unwritten rule or something...
I found these heels once upon a time online and saved the picture because I fell in love with them. I love them so much that I want a pair (which will make #5 for pairs of pink heels I own), however I can't remember which site I found them on. If ANYBODY knows where I can find these, let me know! I'm desperate.
In the meantime, I think I'm going to make my own, since Monday is only a few short days away. I'm gonna buy pink chiffon and take a pair of my pink pumps and attempt to match this design by looping it around the heel and tying them by my ankle.

Prom Dresses

My sister called me yesterday for our weekly chat. She just got asked to prom for the first time! We're all so excited for her. She always comes to be for fashion advice, since she's seen my closet and knows my love for clothes!

When I was in high school and getting ready for prom, I always got my dress early in "prom dress season" as I like to call it, before all the dresses get picked over. I told her that now is the perfect time to find her dream dress. That way, she can tell her friends which one she gets so they don't get the same one! Now that would be a girl's worst nightmare..

I was looking online last night and found a great website for prom dresses. They have a huge variety of prom dresses including both long and short dresses of all different colors and sizes. They are also having a sale right now, so my advice is to get it now! That way, if any alterations need to be made, there will be plenty of time to do so before the big event.

I also reminded her just how important flowers are to compliment the perfect dress! So all you prom-goers out there, find the perfect dress and then add the flowers afterwards. Start shopping :)

Ray-Ban Sunglasses

Spring is JUST around the corner! Besides my spring time purse and shoe kick I've been on lately, I've been obsessing over sunglasses. I always like to stock up on a few pairs before summer begins. Out with the old and in with the new, right? Except sometimes I tend to
keep the old and buy the new as well.

I love Ray-Ban shades. The company, a United States brand, carries sunglasses of all kinds and also carries eye glasses. I love these Aviator style sunglasses pictured above. These were originated for U.S. military fighter pilots in the 1930's. They have struck gold in the fashion world! If that's not your style of choice, there are about 800 different pairs to choose from! The shipping is quick (sent out within 24-48 hours if you choose to shop online, like me).

Blue Print Rack

I know all of you fashionistas are artists, too. Clothing is a form of art. Creating outfits, putting together pieces to wear and display are my favorite kind of art!
I was searching high and low for some better storage solutions for my posters and prints. I came across this site called Cutting-Mats and hit the jackpot, since they have a great selection of storage solutions! This includes poster storage bins, poster display racks, blue print racks, and so much more. These are high quality items, made in the USA, and are shipped via FedEx and UPS. The poster storage bins, print racks, and poster display racks are designed to hold up to 100 unframed prints and posters. The poster holders are made of welded, square, 1-inch steel tubing with scratch-resistant paint. Based on your needs, they carry sizes small through large. I can't wait to reduce some of the clutter that I have and get some great art storage solutions.

Jane By Design

There are so many shows that I love. It's sad, really. I sometimes make plans around the shows that are "must watch" ones that I am obsessed with! For example, Sunday evenings I usually watch the E! Channel for Kardashian shows (whether it's
"Khloe and Lamar", "Kourtney and Kim Take New York", or "Keeping Up With the Kardashians"). Mondays and Tuesdays are devoted to ABC Family. Mondays consist of "Switched at Birth" and "Jane by Design". Tuesdays are for "Pretty Little Liars". I could go on & on, but what I wanted my readers to know about is "Jane by Design".
"Jane by Design" is a show that started January 3rd on ABC Family. It's about a girl, Jane who is a high schooler that's unpopular. Due to a mistake made about her identity, she lands a job in a high fashion career as a twenty-something year old. Erica Dasher does a fantastic job playing Jane. It really is a great show and is something worth checking out!

Men's Wedding Bands

I'm helping my best friend plan her wedding (which I am the maid of honor for--yay!). We have now picked the bridesmaid dresses, her dress, all of the girls' jewelry, the shoes, the decorations, the cake, and the menu.
We realized that we were putting her future husband's attire on the back burner and started planning for him immediately! We found some tuxedo styles that she likes for him to wear.
Last but not least, we decided to journey towards finding him a wedding ring. I found a great website that carries a huge variety and great selection of men's wedding bands. Not only do they carry titanium rings, they also carry rings made of tungsten, palladium, black diamond, and black titanium. They are very sturdy and won't scratch or break. Check it out and see their great selection of men's rings!

Purses & Handbags

Spring is just around the corner (if you can even call this current season "winter", it's been pretty nice out!) None the less, I can't wait! When most people think of spring, they think of grilling, planting flowers & gardens, spring cleaning, spring vacations, and so much more. I think of purses and shoes. Is that pathetic? Maybe a little. But change of season means change of fashion, which means bright and fun new things will be replacing the deep colors of winter in my closet and it will be time to start fresh!

I love spring purses. They're so fun and flirty. I tend to look for shades of pink and purple to brighten up my day and match the beautiful colors of spring. Handbag Heaven is one of my favorite websites to go purse shopping on. Since it's not clothes, you don't have to be in the store to "try it on" and it makes it easier to go shopping from your own living room couch! They carry every style and color of purse imaginable for GREAT prices. There aren't many handbags over $65 which makes my wallet very happy.

Custom Engagement Rings

Hey fashionistas! I'm writing this post from a cute little coffee shop on this gloomy Friday in February. At least I have coffee to cheer me up! That AND the fact that I think my boyfriend is going to propose soon :) Yay! I've only been hinting at this for what feels like forever. He just doesn't get it sometimes...or at least pretends not to.

He asked me this morning when we were eating breakfast what kind of ring I want! :) I'm a very picky person when it comes to the jewelry I wear. Not only does everybody see it, but with something as important as an engagement ring--that's something you live with the rest of your life.

I've been searching and searching for the perfect ring for me, but I'm having trouble finding something that fits my personality and style. Finally I came across a company that does custom engagement rings! This is perfect for me. Simone and Son is a company that's been in the jewelry business for a long time, so they are a company I trust. They have perfected the way they design and create custom jewelry. I am so excited to start designing the ring of my dreams!

Shoes!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Some people anxiously await this "holiday" yearly, while some people dread February 14th. Single or not, celebrate this Valentine's Day with SHOES. That's right, let's make this holiday about shoes. Whether you're going out or staying in, there's nothing like refreshing yourself mid-winter by stocking your closet with woman's true love.
I found some great shoes while searching around today. I love DSW because they have designer shoes at department store prices. It's a win-win situation! By searching the color family, red, I was able to find a whole bunch of cute red shoes to spice things up this Valentine's Day!
They carry everything from flats and pumps, to sneakers and casual shoes, to pumps and stilettos! No matter what you're style is, find the perfect shoes for you!

Cobalt Wedding Bands

Cobalt wedding bands for men are the hottest trend in men's jewelry right now. These rings are amazing. Titanium Jewelry is a great company to find the Cobalt wedding band that fits you or your significant other's style.
Not only is cobalt a brighter than platinum and white gold, it's hypoallergenic. If you have sensitive skin, these rings will not irritate your skin. They are also scratch resistant, so if you have a job or lifestyle that rough and tough, your ring will not get ruined.
Check out Titanium-Jewelry for a huge selection of Cobalt wedding bands for men.
