Dramatic Smokey Eye

I love a dramatic smokey eye once in a while when I'm going out. I usually go for a more subtle smokey eye when I go out and during the day I don't wear a lot of eye make up in general. Sometimes it's nice to try a different look and really go all out. This is emphasized by a dramatic smokey eye. It's very easy to do!

Cover the lash and lid with a very shiny or sparkly silver color. If you have troubles with keeping eye shadow on, I recommend coating your lids first with a liquid concealer. I don't know what it is about the concealer, but it keeps eye shadow on so much longer! Take a black eye shadow next and coat the outer eyelid. Use a brush to blend it in well. Add mascara next. If you are wanting a more dramatic look, add some fake eyelashes. 

Black is the New...Black

I know you have all heard phrases before that sound something like this.."Pink is the new black", "grey is the new black", or "green is the new black". It comes and goes every season with a different color being the "new black". It's phrased like this because black is a color that never goes out of style. It's been around for decades and will continue to be around for decades. This Fall, black is becoming even more trendy than it already is and is being seen more and more on both the streets and the runways.

Black was sometimes associated as a "gothic" color. It's sometimes associated as a depressing color--something this is worn to funerals. Well let me tell you! Black is HOT! It is a go-to color that always looks great. One of the things I love about black is that it is slimming. It hides some of my unwanted curves and lines. It is so sleek looking that it is my favorite color to wear! If you're not ready to go all-black like the above picture, add bits of pieces at a time. You'll look great and get a ton of compliments! 

Maxi Dress

If you are looking for a great dress to wear for this wedding season, look no further. I love this maxi dress. This dress is sleek and formal while maintaining the fun and youth of summer. It's the perfect dress for any any evening event and will go great at other events as well. 

This would go perfectly with a pair of gold flats and a gold clutch. The outfit would be brought together perfectly and you would definitely steal the show! I would go with a smokey eye if you are attending at evening event. I would also wear my hair up and in a sleek, low bun. It's up to you of course, but this is just a suggestion. Since the front has so much detail with the gold glitter, it's best to keep your hair simple.
