I know that I've been talking a lot about the upcoming Fall Fashion trends because Fall is fast approaching, but that doesn't mean that there isn't time for a few fun summer events! The weather will stay nice for awhile longer, and that's why I've decided to order this adorable bow-top red and white striped bikini.
We have decided to go camping in a few weekends before school starts again and everybody gets into the swing of a routine for the year. We want to go out and have some fun doing some of our favorite things of summer.
I am so excited to go tubing down the river, grill out, play yard games, and have a blast with our friends and family. We do this every year and it's always a bit of a bittersweet time because we all know that Fall is looming around the corner. What are you favorite end-of-summer activities and traditions?

I Never Head to the Beach Without My Favorite Swimsuit Cover Up
There is nothing I love more than a relaxing day at the beach. I can lay in the gorgeous sunshine while getting lost in a good book (I love a good quick beach read!). I could spend hours at the beach. It is like my home away from home.
When packing to go to the beach, I fill my favorite beach tote with sunscreen, my favorite shades, a cute fedora to keep the sun from damaging my face, the current book I am reading (of course), and of course a swimsuit cover up.
There are so may different styles of cover ups that I have seen being worn around the beach, and I own a variety myself. My recent favorite is my maxi swim cover up. I love maxi dresses and wear them all the time during summer. This swim cover up incorporates my favorite trend with great beach attire!

This Bikini is Great!
Bikini season is in full swing. As the weather heats up, it's a great time to update your wardrobe. I like to get a few swimsuits each Summer. If anything, it's an excuse to go shopping. I like to do a lot of my shopping online and avoid the massive amounts of people in crowded stores.
I found this great bikini and am wanting to pass it on and share it. I love this bikini because it has a very sporty look to it. It doesn't look like a few strings holding together a tiny piece of fabric (that may sound old fashioned, but teeny bikinis are not my personal style). I also love this because it is not your run-of-the-mill black bikini. It has some color that is fun and bright.
This would be super cute with some fun, bright sunglasses and some summery flip flops. I can't wait to order this super cute, sporty bikini and get it in so I can head out to the beach for a day of sun and fun!

Retro One Piece Swimsuits Are Really Making a Splash
I am very sorry for the very corny title. I had to though--once I thought it in my head, I wanted to share. How can you not appreciate that beautiful and witty play on words!?
Anyway, I've been seeing more and more retro style one-piece swimsuits. They are popping up everywhere on beaches and at pools.I've noticed that this trend goes along with the very popular and upcoming Rockabilly style (see my past post about Rockabilly style if you don't know what I am talking about). You can trend this swimsuit out even more with a floral headband and some bright colored lipstick.
I'll admit after seeing The Notebook, I wanted a swimsuit just like Rachel McAdams had. Heck, I wanted Ryan Gosling just like Rachel McAdams (Allie) had. It was a perfect example of a classic 50's swimsuit that was modest yet adorable. I can't wait to put my usual string bikini far, far in the back of my drawer and try out a retro swimsuit!
