Vintage Inspired Jewelry Brought to Your By Orange County Jewelers

Have you noticed your Grandma's old fashioned brooches and pins are coming back in style? Vintage is in my friends, and I'm not sure about you but I'm loving it! My Grandma had quite the style back when and when I was younger I thought it was so gaughty and "unstylish". Now however, I love that I have her vintage pins, jewelry, brooches and even clothing. It's all in style and it's right up my alley.

There is something about vintage clothing, and jewelry especially, you can tell it's unique. There are so many clothing and jewelry stores, Orange County Jewelers specifically, that are re-creating these old fashioned looks, but they just aren't the same, if you ask me. Because I was left with my Grandma's personal collection I feel it is much more special rather than if I were to pick them up at my local thrift shop.

My favorite brooch of my Grandma's is a gold butterfly with an emerald on it. It's really simple and sleek. When I'm in the mood I just pin it to a scarf or one of my slouch hats. It adds a really cute touch and I feel special wearing it, like my Grandma is with me. Have you worn any vintage items as of lately? Let me know in the comments!

Beautiful Junior Plus Size Dresses

This is the time of year to really load up your closet for the events to come. Winter brings a ton of wonderful events: winter weddings (so gorgeous!), winter formals if you are in school yet, holiday parties, New Year's Eve parties, and don't forget that prom is JUST around the corner! I love filling up my calendar with dress-worthy events. This helps to break up the long season of winter (and as a woman, do I really need an excuse to want to dress up? It's just plain FUN!)

I found an amazing selection of dressing in so many different colors, lengths, materials, and sizes. Pacific Plex carries the best selection of junior plus size dresses around. You can't always find a place that has sizes XS-4X, and I feel like I hit a goldmine when I do! They also carry TONS of different colors (if you are looking for bridesmaid dresses, they have almost every color to match your wedding theme). The dress pictured above comes in thirteen different colors!

Perfect Party Dresses for a Night Out

I'm always looking for fun, new things to add to my closet. I'm sure you all know this already, hence the blog. I love looking for the latest and greatest fashions and sharing them.

I came across a site with a fantastic selection of party dresses. I love that these dresses are so fashionable and fun, yet aren't super expensive. I love finding wearable fashion that is actually affordable! There is such a huge selection of dresses (among other clothes) on this site. For example, the dress pictured above comes in THIRTEEN different colors, wow! They truly understand that everybody has a different style and size and it's great that they accommodate to both. Available on the site are dresses in sizes XS to a 4X. No matter what body type you have, you can find the perfect dress that you will look and feel stunning in.

I have a wedding to go to next month and picked out this dress for it, what do you think!?

Rockabilly Hair Accessory

Rockabilly fashion is IN. It is trending so fast right now! If you don't know anything about Rockabilly, it is one of the earliest styles of rock and roll music that dates back to the 1950's. Rockabilly is a combination of the words "rock and roll" and "hillbilly". Get it? It's kind of clever! With the Rockabilly style of music, of course it came with a trend in clothing and hairstyles.

A Rockabilly style in fashion includes big bows (such as this one, pictured above) on top of the head, pencil skirts, opened toed heels, polka dots, poofed bangs, flowers in the hair, loose wavy hair, plenty of make up, and of course tattoos. It's a very unique style that seems to be a mix of punk, 50's style, indie, and retro. It's a very fun and up-and-coming style that you will be seeing a lot of in the fashion world!

Flip Flop Craze

There are many things I love about summer. One of my favorite includes flip flops. I could wear them everyday if the weather permitted. They look great with almost any kind of outfit. I wear them with sundresses, shorts, capris and jeans. Flip flops can be worn with a more casual outfit on the beach or with a more dressy outfit such as a wedding. You can't go wrong with something so versatile!

You can get flip flops almost anywhere. They are easily available at many retail locations. I like to purchase flip flops online as well. I found a great website that is dedicated to flip flops. It's called Flip Flop Shops and that have so many different styles, colors, and brands of flip flops that you can find what you are looking for. It's easy to find the pair that look great with a specific outfit you are looking to accompany.

Get ready for summer and load your shoe closet up with several pairs of flip flops!

They also come in a variety of colors to accommodate your wedding theme and colors. Take all the stress out of bridesmaid dress shopping with these high-quality dresses and enjoy your wedding day!

Great Office Look

For great style tips, I look to people who have great style. This often (and I avoid the word always, here) includes celebrities. A great place to look for fashion tips can be found on your local magazine stand in celebrity gossip magazines such as "Star", "Us", "InTouch", "People", etc.
A great person I look to for style advice is Jennifer Aniston. She always seems to be so pulled together and her taste in clothing and style is simple. She's never overdone and always seems to pull of a perfect look without too little or too much. It's a hard thing to accomplish!
Her outfit here is great for an office. The pencil skirt adds length to her legs which are heightened even more by a cute pair of simple pumps. Her tucked in button up shirt adds professionalism and slims her waist. This is a great office look that wouldn't be hard to imitate!
