Black and white is pretty much always in! Put a spin on it by wearing polka dots (black and white of course) and other creative patterns. Just remember not to over-do it. If you have a patterned piece of clothing, don't add patterned accessories.

Rules for Jeans & Cuffing

I can never decide weather to cuff my jeans with different shoes. Here a few rules I found to help:

With flats, cuff jeans higher. The lady on the right has the look.

With heels, the closer the jeans are to the heel, the better!

Fall Fashion Preview: 60's Mod Shapes

60's mod shapes truly flatter any body shape/type. They are coming in huge this fall! Look for clean lines and box-y shaped dresses, shortish hemlines (but not mini), lots of geometrics (grids, checks, & plaids), and of course color blocking!

Backless dresses are very stylish and in right now. They can, however, present a problem and that is finding the right bra to go with them. My advice? Go with an adhesive bra.

My boyfriend's family and friends were taking a trip down to the Bahamas and he wanted me to go with.I don't have the best beach body so I was a little self conscious about going with him. I have Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo and love it! It's perfect for those mornings when you don't have time or don't feel like washing your hair. (I usually wash mine at night so it can dry naturally without a hairdryer).

Au Natural.

I'm obsessing over natural-looking make up right now. After all, it is the last month of summer and I don't want to be walking around with thick, obvious, heavy make-up on!

First off I'll start with mascara. This Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara in Jet Brown is perfect for making lashes longer all while keeping them soft-looking.

For lips, I love anything by Nivea. It's super soft (the lipgloss never gets sticky). This is a very natural-looking color and isn't expensive. It can be found at any drugstore.

For a face make-up, I prefer light, translucent powders like this Translucide Naturally Luminous Loose Powder.

Polka Dots: STILL Popular!

Polka dots will still be in for fall 2011. They never seem to go away and are always in style! You don't have to be in head-to-toe dots. Nice accents include shoes, purses, and belts.

Maxi Dresses and Maxi Skirts

Maxi dresses & skirts were big in spring and fall of 2011 and it is said that they will still be huge in fall of 2011. The material of these maxi's will be heavier (as in darker). This is a fantastic trend that I'm glad will be sticking around for fall!
