Accessorize!

If you're on a budget this Spring and Summer, or just looking to spice up some old outfits, accessorizing is the answer! You can make (and unfortunately, sometimes break) and outfit with accessories. You can make an old outfit look brand new by adding and changing different accessories.

I love loading up on fun and unique accessories and much as possible. I like to use necklaces, shoes, purses, sunglasses, bracelets, rings, nail polish, scarves, earrings, headbands, and hats to compliment my favorite outfits (of course not all at the same time...I would look like a clown!!!!). I like to save money when doing so, as I'm sure you all know by now.

One of my favorite stores to get accessories at is Target. They have a great selection and variety of both traditional and unique accessories. They also have a lot of sales. I also like to hit up Charlotte Russe. They have a huge supply of accessories when I go in there and always great deals (most of the time it's a 2-for deal).

Just remember, don't over do it and drown yourself in too many accessories...that is how you "break" and great outfit. Hint--brightly colored accessories are a great way to put some "Spring" into your wardrobe!

Cute Spring Outfit

LookBook is one of my favorite fashion websites. They get inspiration from real people wearing outfits from all over the world. It's great because under each look you can find where to buy each piece of each outfit. I love seeing actual people wearing these outfits rather than a model in a magazine. It's great to see them in everyday life.

I found this super cute outfit for Spring. I love the colors and the polished look while still appearing casual and not over-done. The skinny jeans make the heels pop and really make them stand out. As you all probably know by now, I'm obsessed with blazers. They can be layered over pretty much anything. I like to put them over tank tops for an office or business setting. Coral is one of my favorite colors for Spring. It's bright and fun and is a lovely combination of pink tones and orange tones.

Tungsten Wedding Bands

It's so hard to choose a great wedding band with so many out there. It can be overwhelming when you see all of the different materials available out there. They have wedding bands made of titanium, platinum, cobalt, white gold, palladium, tungsten, and so much more.

My favorite is tungsten wedding bands. I love these rings. Tungsten wedding bands are becoming incredibly popular and it's very evident why this is happening. They're absolutely stunning. Tungsten is much less expensive than platinum and white gold. Do you see how shiny the ring looks in the picture? The great thing about tungsten is that it always looks that shiny. You never have to polish a tungsten ring. You can wear tungsten rings for decades and they will constantly look new. They are steel-grey in color so tungsten rings are very modern looking ring.

Floral Dress

I love stocking my closet up with dresses for summer. It's my go-to summer outfit that I love wearing from May to August. Not the same one of course... which is why I stock up my closet every Spring to prepare! I love finding great deals on clothes. Because I like to seriously stock up, I can't afford to be spending $200 on each sundress I buy (although I occasionally like to splurge).

Forever 21 has a fantastic selection of inexpensive sundresses. The one pictured above is only $17.80! With every dress costing only that much, I can really fill up my closet fast!

They also have great accessories for prices that are just as great. There's several different types of shoes that look great with sundresses, and they have them available. They have flats, heels, wedges, sandals and more. To complete your outfit, they have belts, jewelry, bags, wallets, and hats.

The fashion world is about standing out and being unique. At least that's how I see it. I love to follow trends but put my own spin on things. I use clothing and fashion to express myself.

You can imagine my excitement when I found a jewelry store that does custom design of engagement rings. When I look at engagement rings, I tend to find at least something that I'd like to change about each one. With custom design, you just tell the designers what you're looking for in a ring. Polka Dot Dress

The trend of polka dots isn't going anywhere anytime soon. It's a fun trend that can be worn as a piece of clothing or as an accessory (such as a purse or shoe).

I found this super cute dress that's covered in polka dots! It's a fun dress that can be worn in the warm weather of summer. Since I love the nautical theme I would pair this with a light brown fedora, and accessorize with red heels and a red purse. Of course I would have sunglasses on as well :) Not red shades though.. that would be too much.

Heels for Summer

Who needs a weather man when you have my feet? All anybody has to do to see what the weather is like just has to look down at my feet. As the weather gets nicer and nicer, my shoes happen to get brighter and brighter.

I love throwing on a pair of bright pink heels when it's 75 degrees and sunny out! It's just not fun to waste cute shoes on rainy days (and I definitely don't like to wear expensive shoes in the rain just to see them slowly get ruined).

There are so many places where I find my fun, brightly colored heels. I've been going with Nordstrom a lot lately. They have free shipping and free returns which makes for hassle-free online shopping. I also tend to go back to one of my all-time favorites: DSW. They have free shipping that ends on March 25th as well right now, so hurry if you want to get in on that deal! Otherwise, go crazy and treat yourself. The places that have great heels are endless. Women's Titanium Jewelry

When you think of titanium, you probably think of the rough, tough and durable jewelry that is marketed towards men. It's not just for men, though. There is a great selection out there of women's titanium jewelry. You can find anything you are looking for that matches your style. One of my favorites is the new Edward Mirell Hearts Collection. I love this necklace and how playful it looks while maintaining its luster and elegance. It's a unique piece of jewelry that I hopefully will have the privilege of wearing around my neck soon!

If that's not your style, they carry beautiful engagement rings, belloria rings (which are stackable diamond bands), a safari collection that's trendy, wild, and fun, earrings colored stones, and more. Jean Jacket

I went shopping this past weekend and almost every store I went into I saw jean jackets. I didn't know those were still popular! Good thing I went shopping yesterday and spent a lot of money so I can bring all of this important research information to you all ;) That's my excuse anyway, so I'm just going to go with it.

I usually saw them right next to the spring dresses on display. These are perfect to throw over a cute spring sundress. The weather can sometimes be questionable in Springtime and this is a great way to be prepared for any kind of weather. I'm not a fan of wearing a jean jacket with jean pants, so the only way I wear jean jackets is with dresses. It can also create a more professional look than wearing a spaghetti strap sundress.

Custom Airbrush Tanning

I love when my skin is tan, but I am not willing to sacrifice my health in order to have bronzed skin. It's important to keep your skin healthy because of the serious consequences of tanning in the sun or in a tanning bed. I always wear sunscreen when going outside--even in the winter. An SPF of 15 works just fine. When I'm out on the beach for a long time I usually wear a hat to protect my face as well.

Fun Heels

Every girl needs a pair of shoes that are just over the top. I think I just found mine. These shoes are crazy and adorable. I would pair this heel with a little black dress to go out, or a dress in a solid color that matches one of the colors of the heels (turquoise, purple, yellow, etc). I wouldn't do anything too crazy for an outfit, you don't want to appear overwhelmingly dressed.

Hawaiian Baby Clothes

Today I took the day to relax. It was much needed! I'm currently sitting in my front yard plopped down in a lawn chair with my shades, shorts, a tank and flip flops. It's so gorgeous out I could sit here for hours! But laundry calls from inside the house... as well as bills, supper, and dusting. I think my mini vacation just ended.

Hunger Games Inspired Nail Polish

The Hunger Games is huge right now! It is blowing up in the media and is a very popular trilogy of books. I can't wait for the movie release date on March 23, 2012 which isn't that far away. The books are great and the movie is created by Suzanne Collins herself, which I'm super excited for.

This is a great set of nail polish that came out from China Glaze inspired from the Hunger Games. The colors are great! They're neutral which goes with everything. Painting your nails is a great way to accessorize and literally let your colors shine through :) I plan on collecting all of these!

Inspiration

Everybody has their own unique ideas, way of life, likes and dislikes, and way of dressing and presenting themselves. What inspires you and the clothes that you wear? It can be other people, magazines, TV shows, movies, or plain and ordinary everyday things.
I love being inspired by everyday things. It's a great feeling to go for a walk or go to an art museum and just look at the way all of the colors interact with eachother. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a artistic person or anything. I don't know the difference between most eras of art history, I just appreciate what I see and what other people create.
I take that art and transform it into my wardrobe. It's great to put an outfit together that coorelates with some of my favorite pieces of work of places in nature. You can even get inspired by stores walking downtown or food on a plate! Think of the colors and how they do or do not work together.
The sky is the limit! That is the great thing about fashion: you can take it in any direction you choose to.

Spring Cleaning

Spring is here! Which means one of my favorite things--spring cleaning. I love going through my things really well at least once a year. It's a great way to start fresh and get rid of things that I don't want, need, or use anymore.

It's important to do this in your closet and dressers. I go through and, I kid you not, try on EVERY piece of clothing I own. If it's something I haven't worn for awhile or doesn't fit, I donate it to Goodwill. This is a great way to help people out in need of clothing.

I do this with my makeup, too. Mascara should be thrown if it's been opened for three months. I also get rid of old foundations or make-up that I don't wear anymore.

One fun thing about spring cleaning is the shopping that comes afterward! I always like to get one or two new outfits and some fresh fun make-up!

Swimsuit

Hello all! I'm sitting at the airport, waiting for my flight back home. I'm missing Mexico already, even though I'm still technically here! It's always hard to say goodbye to a great vacation. Like I said, it's always nice to return home.

After being in a swimsuit all week (almost), I'm ready to get a new one and have a great summer! I try to limit myself to one or two swimsuits, and this will be number one of 2012! Not bad, huh? I love this suit from Victoria's Secret. It would look great with any body type and I love the color (although there's about fourteen to choose from). I can't wait to order this! I'm ready for the nice weather and a summer filled with memories!

Hello everybody! Greetings from Cozumel, Mexico. We are having so much fun down here that it's going to be tough to fly home tomorrow and say good bye to Spring Break 2012. It's always nice to get home. At least I have something great to look forward to when I return to California. Casual Cute

Hello everybody! Sorry about the missed post yesterday, we had morning to evening activities here in Cozumel. We rented a jeep and took it around the island to explore a little bit. It was a lot of fun!

I'm obsessing over the "casual cute" look here when I'm out and about (I'm pretty much wearing things like this whenever I'm not in my swimsuit soaking up the rays!) A pair of skinny jeans rolled up into capris is an easy way to achieve the look the model has in the picture. A loose-fitting tank is perfect and airy (nothing too tight or constricting) for the hot sun. Heels, sunglasses and a purse finish off the look with a few accessories without being too overwhelming or overbearing.

I will definitely be carrying this look over into the Spring and Summer and experimenting with many different combinations of tanks, accessories and so much more!

Feather Headbands

Hello everybody! Hope you are all having a great weekend so far. Mexico is great! Yesterday, we went and did some shopping in town and today after going parasailing, we're going to get all cleaned up and go out this evening for a night on the town. I have the perfect little black dress, heels, and hair accessory!

I will be wearing this super cute feather headband in my hair. I love these and have so many of them! Turquoise Studded Tote

Hello from Mexico! The plane ride went smoothly (thank goodness) and we are all checked into the resort. I am so excited to be here!

Waxing in Huntington Beach

Spring Break is here! I'm so excited. I have my bags packed and ready to board the plane tomorrow morning to Mexico! I can't wait. I've been waiting for this for months. I'm ready for sunshine, sand, ocean, and relaxation.

I decided to do something different for this vacation. I decided to get my legs waxed. It's such a pain to shave them all the time and I didn't want to have to do that on vacation. I went to CloudMover because of they're great reputation for waxing in Huntington Beach.
